Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”, “Agreement”) govern your use of the services offered by AMSR Rent & Drive (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking a vehicle, subscribing to the Arohon (আরোহন) membership, or using any of our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.

 

1. Eligibility

To rent or drive a vehicle, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (or as required by local law).

  • Hold a valid driving license recognized in Bangladesh.

  • Provide required identity documents (NID/Passport, Driving License, etc.).

  • Have no criminal or vehicle-related offense history.

The Company reserves the right to accept or reject any customer.

 

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 Bookings may require:

  • Advance payment

  • Security deposit

  • Membership fee (for Arohon members)

2.2 Payments must be made through approved methods.

2.3 A booking is confirmed only after full or partial payment (as per company rules).

2.4 Prices may vary based on:

  • Car model

  • Duration

  • Season

  • Location

  • Availability

 

3. Security Deposit

  • A refundable security deposit is required for all rentals.

  • The deposit is returned after vehicle inspection, provided there are no:

    • Damages

    • Traffic fines

    • Delays

    • Missing accessories

    • Violations of Terms

  • Deposit refund time may vary from 24–72 hours.

 

4. Vehicle Pickup & Return

4.1 The vehicle must be picked up and returned at the agreed time and location.

4.2 Late return charges:

  • Hourly or daily late fee applies beyond the agreed time.

  • Excess mileage charges apply if KM limit is exceeded (where applicable).

4.3 The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as provided.

4.4 The Company may inspect the vehicle before final acceptance.

 

5. Use of Vehicle

You agree to:

  • Drive responsibly and follow all traffic rules.

  • Use the vehicle only for lawful purposes.

  • NOT use the vehicle for:

    • Criminal activities

    • Racing, drifting, or stunt driving

    • Off-road driving

    • Towing other vehicles

    • Sub-rental or commercial ride-sharing

Failure to comply may result in penalties or legal action.

 

6. GPS Tracking & Monitoring

All vehicles may include GPS tracking devices.
Tracking is used for:

  • Safety

  • Theft prevention

  • Route monitoring

  • Misuse detection

  • Contract compliance

Tampering with GPS devices is strictly prohibited.

 

7. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as provided.

  • If returned with less fuel, the customer will be charged.

 

8. Maintenance & Breakdown

8.1 The Company is responsible for regular maintenance.
8.2 If the vehicle breaks down:

  • Contact us immediately.

  • Do not repair the vehicle without permission.

  • Unauthorized repair charges will not be reimbursed.

8.3 Replacement vehicles are subject to availability.

 

9. Damages & Liability

The renter is responsible for:

  • All damages caused during the rental period

  • Interior and exterior damages

  • Tire and rim damage

  • Loss of accessories

  • Traffic fines and penalties

  • Government-issued challans

If the vehicle is involved in an accident:

  • You must report it immediately.

  • Do not leave the scene without informing authorities and the Company.

Intentional misuse or reckless driving voids insurance coverage (if applicable).

 

10. Insurance (If Provided)

Insurance coverage varies by vehicle.
Insurance does not cover:

  • Drunk driving

  • Unauthorized drivers

  • Traffic law violations

  • Negligence or reckless driving

  • Damage to tires, glass, interior, or accessories

Any uncovered damage must be paid by the renter.

 

11. Membership (Arohon) Terms

11.1 Memberships are available on monthly, quarterly, or yearly plans.

11.2 Members must follow all standard rental rules.

11.3 Membership benefits vary by package.

11.4 The Company may revoke membership for:

  • Policy violations

  • Outstanding dues

  • Misuse of vehicles

  • Fraudulent documents

Membership fees are non-refundable.

 

12. Cancellation & Refund Policy

12.1 Cancellation charges may apply depending on notice time.

12.2 No refunds for:

  • Last-minute cancellation

  • No-show

  • Contract violations

  • Early return (unless stated)

Refund of security deposits follows policy in Section 3.

 

13. Data & Privacy

By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy regarding:

  • Data collection

  • GPS usage

  • Identity verification

  • Communication

We do not sell personal information.

 

14. Prohibited Activities

Customers may not:

  • Allow unauthorized persons to drive

  • Manipulate odometer/GPS

  • Consume alcohol or drugs while driving

  • Engage in harassment or abusive behavior towards staff

Any violation may result in termination of service and legal action.

 

15. Company Rights

We reserve the right to:

  • Cancel bookings

  • Change vehicle assignments

  • Refuse service

  • Update prices

  • Modify policies

  • Decline rentals based on risk evaluation

 

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and protect AMSR Rent & Drive from:

  • Losses

  • Damages

  • Legal claims

  • Third-party liabilities

  • Property damages

caused due to your misuse or negligence.

 

17. Amendments

We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of our services means you accept the updated Terms.

 

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
Any disputes will be resolved under local jurisdiction.
